pictures #2! -lou

And Lou...we had a fairly average ride after a couple of weeks off and a somewhat confusing lesson for him the day before, things weren't really clicking. BUT I am very pleased with his condition at the moment, and even though the ride was craptacular, there were some nice moments. Kudos to my darling horse for never turning around and saying "F*** YOU!" when by all rights he should! He is so willing and so sensible :) Oh, and we did our first proper shoulder-in too! (I am the queen of forgetting to actually teach my horse new things - my photographer friend says, "have you done any shoulder-in with him?" Me: "uhh...nope, maybe a couple of steps on the circle?" *rides out of the corner and into left shoulder-in* Me: "I guess we have now!")

pictures! -cheeky

I've been a very busy girl lately, but we did manage to get a few photos last week! I had another sit on Cheeky after my sister rode the other day, and then got a few snaps of Lou too (Lou pics to follow)...so here's Cheeky!

a very spectacular halt!

Good on the rider for hopping back on for the final salute! Cheeky little pony ;)

Skip to about 4:10 if you don't have time to watch the whole thing. Looks like a lovely little pony, maybe just a little bit too mischevious!

quote of the day

"Think of riding as a science, but love it as an art." ~George Morris

you know you're horsey when...

...your mind is totally OUT of the gutter and on the practicalities of horses when you hear someone talking about...
  • the feeling of having "x" number of hands between your legs...
  • ordering frozen semen, and all the choices involved...

and, of course...

  • how it feels to get rubbed up by your saddle....NOT pleasurable at all, you one-track-minded male fools!
