how do you make a horsey girl cry?

Simple. Tell her she's not allowed to ride. And I won't be, for months. My back injury hasn't gone away and as a result I've been placed on a strict rehab program including placement in an office job on light duties, and banned from sitting on any horse until it is resolved :( not exactly the kind of news a mad horsey girl wants to get!
As a result, Lou has had a big holiday and will now be ridden by a friend for the time being. I'm trying to distract myself as much as possible, which is where my new "baby" comes in...

...a brand spanking new Canon EOS 50D DSLR camera!

I took hundreds of photos on the first day, including these crazy ones of Lou playing in his paddock...that 6.5 frames-per-second function sure comes in handy :)

Sorry you can't ride for a bit. Your photos are wonderful, now you have time to work on that part of your life.

Thanks..I definitely am looking forwards to doing more of the photography. I haven't for a few years but have been wanting a DSLR for a long time so I'm glad I have the opportunity to do more of that while I can't ride!

It's so frustrating, isn't it? I couldn't ride for 2 years because of a back complaint. I'm not sure if it would help, but I saw an acupuncturist who solved all my issues, after many doctors, physios, x-rays, etc.
